These animated wild birds sing and move their heads, beaks and tails like real birds. These electronic birds have tiny motion sensors in their breasts that react to a change in light through motion, causing the birds to break into their natural bird song.

The Cornell Ornithologic Laboratory has gone out into the woods and recorded the bird songs that are used.

The Cornell Ornithologic Laboratory has gone out into the woods and recorded the bird songs that are used.

The design for each lightweight electronic bird was hand carved. In Japan, bird owners actually house them with their real birds to keep them company.

Breezy Singer BirdThe parakeet, also known as the Budgerigar, is the best known cage-bird kept throughout the world. Populations of escaped birds have established themselves in some areas, particularly southern Florida. Parakeets naturally occur in Australia where they are one of the most common wild bird species. They can be found throughout the continent, often in enormous flocks said to sometimes blacken the sky.Though breeders have created a wide range of color varieties, wild parakeets share a typical coloration. This consists of an emerald green underside, a yellow and black barred back and head, a yellow face and blue-green tail.

* Parakeets have 2-part animation, head and tail feathers.
* The chirp sound will be a little different for each color.
* The perches are included (plastic).
* Parakeet can be removed from its perch and held on your finger (not free-standing w/o its perch).

Breezy Singer Animated Bird – Asian Collection
A flashy denizen of streams and wetlands, the Common Kingfisher is one of Japan’s most brilliantly colored birds. Though fairly common, its numbers have decreased in some areas due to pesticide use and development. Where it is found, it can be overlooked as it sits quietly along the waters edge waiting for prey. Its diet consists mainly of small fish, insects and crustaceans which it catches by diving into the water.     I am interested in purchasing a Breezy Song Bird. Not to picky, just want a pretty one that sounds nice for my grandmother. Do you have any in stock or perhaps know where I might locate one? I have checked everywhere I know on the web and got out bid on Ebay. :(

    I see from a reply you made in January 2012 that the Takara Breezy Singers are out of stock and the company (Takara but now owned by Tomy) no longer supplies to the US. I live in the UK and wondered if you know whether they can be purchased here? I’ve researched online but have drawn a blank.
